This was a fabulous wedding at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Hotel downtown. This featured our 10-Piece Orchestra for dancing. We had the dance floor packed all night. There was a wide variety of guests from different backgrounds and age groups. We adjusted the song list based on what was actually happening in the room. That kept everyone on the dance floor all night! The energy and excitement of the band was felt by everybody in the room. It was a great start to the new year!

What a way to start the New Year! Kevin and Paige were one of the sweetest couples we've ever played for. They were so excited to have us playing for their wedding. Having your wedding on New Years Eve always adds a lot more excitement. Since our vocalists and horns are wireless, the bride and her friends were thrilled the horn section and vocalists on the dance floor next to them. It brought their wedding to a whole new level! We played an hour overtime. "KEEP GOING!!!" Happy New Year indeed!

This wedding was Rockin' all night!! What they lacked in numbers of guests, they made up in pure energy!! Sara sang "I Love Rock and Roll" at the top of her lungs with the band." Ray was from Philly so we played "Gonna Fly Now." He jumped around the dance floor with his hands in the air with the Rocky T-Shirt I bought him. We learned 7 new songs including some Reggae and Dave Matthews Band. Check out what I gave them on our Special Weddings Stories page. The dance floor was packed with everyone rocking!!!

Just like the movie, this was a Big Fat Jewish Wedding. The bride and groom were so fun. They were on the dance floor all night! Their family and friends were there to have a great time. That's exactly what we gave them. Joel is a professional poker player so we did an arrangement of Luck be a Lady. Both Amber and Joel were huge fans of Family Guy, so we learned the theme song as well as giving them the first three seasons on DVD. They were thrilled by our extra effort. This wedding was an absolute blast! Be sure to read their review!

The Knickerbocker Hotel is one of the most gorgeous and historic venues in Chicago. When you fill the ballroom with 200 wild and fun guests it's a great combination. They were big fans of the 80's so played Footloose, Sweet Caroline, Come on Eileen, Love Shack and a bunch of super fun songs that got everybody going. The light up dance brought an added excitement to the room. The girls were singing, dancing and partying all night. The Guys were gettin' down to some Funk and Michael Jackson. This was one high energy wedding!!

Katie and Perry and their families were huge Beatles fans, so we learned 9 Beatles songs for their big day. I also bought them a Beatles anthology book, which all their guests signed. At the end of night everyone sang arm in arm, "We all live in Yellow Submarine." I found out that they met at Dirkin's bar so I went to the bar and bought them T-Shirts. They also said it was Perry's sister's birthday. So we played "Happy Birthday" and even gave her a birthday card. All you need is Love, a great couple and a powerful band!! An incredible night!

This wedding as such a blast. They had a wide variety of age groups. I adjust the set list to keep their dance floor packed all night! Antonella's family was from Italy. She said 30 guests were coming to the wedding from Sicily, so I purchased a book titled, "Italian Americans." It had beautiful photos and stories about life in Italy during the turn of the century, Ellis Island, and what life was like for Italian Immigrants in New York. I had their guests from Italy sign the book in Italian and gave it to them as a gift. We also learned the North and South Tarantella. Congratulazioni!!

The Drake Hotel is one of the most historic and prestigious rooms in the Nation. It's always an honor to play there. This was a super fun Italian wedding. What a warm, loving and fun family. One of the highlights was our Sinatra Vocalist Lou. Everybody LOVED him. We played all the original Sinatra arrangements. Our other vocalists kept the dance floor busy singing the best of Motown, Disco, Pop, Funk and Rock. What a fantastic night!

This was one of the wildest and most fun weddings of the year! David and Kristi had some REALLY fun guests. The dance floor was absolutely packed from the first note to the last. One of David's friends even got up and played guitar and sang with the band. It brought the house down! We also love any opportunity to create special moments. The wedding was everything they wanted. Fun, personalized and a packed dance floor!

Imagine playing pinball, pulling back the handle, and releasing it. That's what this wedding was like. The moment we started dancing Jimmy and Jill's family and friends were ready to celebrate big time! It's always great when you have a super fun couple who dance to every song. Be sure to watch the video from this wedding, which was shot in HD and is on our videos page. When our horn section came out and played on the dance floor, Jimmy and Jill stood right next to them and acted like they were part of the horn section too. It was hilarious! One of the most fun weddings of the year!

Alicia and Ryan were such a sweet couple! Their dance floor was crammed with dancers like it was New Year's Eve wedding. WOW!! They both went to school at University of Iowa. We played 3 U of I fights songs while all their friends sang loud and proud along with them. I brought them his and her Iowa baseball caps and had their bridal party sign them. I even bought them a mini Iowa football. A few months, later I saw that the Iowa Hawkeyes were on the cover of Sports Illustrated. I mailed them a copy of the issue. They loved it!! BIG TIME FUN!

Rebecca was one of the most enthusiastic and sweetest brides we've had. Her enthusiasm was contagious. Her and her mom were the life of the party. All her girlfriends were laughing and dancing all night. Many people told me it was the best wedding they'd ever been to! Carl was from New Zealand so we learned "Land Down Under." We even used the flute to make it authentic! It was one of the highlights of the wedding! Also, since Rebecca was Jewish we added our Jewish ensemble for the Hora dancing to bring the even more excitement to the dance floor!

Mark was also an aspiring guitarist, so as a gift our guitarist/arranger, Jeff Sanders, gave him a private lesson for free. Mark even played with the band at the wedding. Emily was just as excited to see him play as he was to get to play with us. He was the Guitar Hero that night!!

Jocelyn and Justin were both from New York and people from New York know how to celebrate! It was one of the most beautiful days of the summer. We played their ceremony outside in the garden with our String Quartet. Inside, our band had the dance floor jumping. They were big fans of the 70's so we played a lot of Earth,Wind and Fire, disco, funk including "I Feel Good." At one point, a bunch of the bride's friends were dancing so much, they had to take their shoes off! When we played "New York, New York" they created the world's biggest kick line! This was a wedding that never slept!

Adler Planetarium has one of the most amazing views of the city. We played their ceremony right along the lakefront with the city skyline as the backdrop. Since it was held at the Planetarium, we learned several "Moon" songs like "Fly Me to the Moon" and "Moon River." Ashley and Matt said they had some really fun friends and they weren't kidding! When we played "Shout" they really showed off their creative talents. This wedding was out of this world!

This beautiful wedding was held in the legendary Empire Room at the Palmer House. Ashley and Marc's wedding was a perfect example of how to blend elegance and a whole lot of fun! They were big fans of the Blues Brothers so I brought along some Blues Brothers glasses for them to wear while we played such songs as "Sweet Home Chicago". They loved it! One of the best moments was when Marc got up with his brother and Ashley's brother to play with us. We did a special arrangement for them. What better way to express your love to your new wife than singing directly to her?!

This wedding was a blast! Since the wedding was on the 4th of July, everybody was already in a festive mood. Once we started dancing it was a mad rush to the dance floor. People were dancing so much they even took off their jackets. Nate and Lisa met at Marquette University, so we learned the Marquette Fight Song and played it when they were introduced. I even rode my bike downtown and bought them his and her MU baseball caps, which they put on while we played the fight song!!

The 3rd of July celebration at the Chicago Yacht Club is always a thrill for us. It is right along the Monroe Harbor Lakefront. Our 10-Piece Orchestra plays for all the Yacht Club members as well as the hundreds of thousands of people lined up along the Lakefront. We played everything from "America the Beautiful" to "Build Me Up Buttercup" and even some Dave Matthews Band. Everybody loved singing along to the band. I even did a trivia contest about Chicago and gave away gifts to all the winners! People ate, drank, danced, and celebrated while getting the best view of the fireworks in the city!

Andy and Sara told me their family and friends had heard many great things about our band prior to the wedding. That's always a good sign! Our band really fed off their energy. Since it was a smaller room, it kept the focus on the dance floor. The bride's sister, Lisa, said she played clarinet. I thought it would be great for her to play a song with our band as a special surprise gift for Sara. We created a special arrangement of a Benny Goodman song, "Begin the Beguine" for her to play with us. The bride was so surprised and thrilled!

Be sure to check out the video from this event. Watch guests of all ages laughing and dancing! Todd is a professional singer/songwriter. He even sang one of his songs at the wedding. They were HUGE fans of Ray LaMontagne. Not only did we play 3 Ray LaMontagne songs, but I also purchased 2 tickets to see him in concert when he came to Chicago two months later. They couldn't believe it!!
