Father of the Bride Tom Wattles researched 17 bands from around the country. He selected our band to play at his daughter's wedding in Beaver Creek, CO on June 18th, 2011. He covered all the travel expenses, room and board as well as equipment rental and transportation. It was a spectacular wedding. The wedding planner said it was the best band she'd ever heard in the Aspen, Denver area! We were all honored to chosen from so many bands around the country! 

 

On September 3rd, 2011 we were brought to Green Bay, Wisconsin. We performed for over 300 guests. The Father of the Bride said he wanted to find the absolutely best band in country for his daughter's wedding. After the wedding he said, "Your were better he could have ever imagined!! AMAZING!!"

 

 

We were flown to Omaha Nebraska for the wedding of Senator Ben Nelson's daughter. We were told by the venue, Joslyn Art Museum, that we were the best band they've ever heard and also the easiest to work with. Dozens of guests told me it was the best wedding they had ever been to. 

 

Our Band has played weddings in St. Louis, thoughout Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and performed a wedding in Des Moines, Iowa in September 17th, 2011.

How we establish the price quote for travel expenses:

  1. STEP 1: We determine the mileage to your city from Chicago.
  2. STEP 2: We establish the best method to get there (Flying or Driving)
  3. STEP 3: We get the best airfare rates or estimated driving expenses.
  4. STEP 4: We can get estimates for renting any sound equipment. We can also make all arrangements for delivery and pick up of the rented Sound System.

You would be responsible
for the following travel expenses:

  • Round trip airfare or driving costs
  • Hotel for all musicians and sound personnel
  • Ground transportation to and from airport, hotel and venue.
  • Lunch and Dinner for day of performance.

We work with you to create
a detailed itinerary including:

  • Flight information from Chicago to your city
  • Ground Transportation details from the airport to our hotel.
  • Complete Hotel Information including room assignments.
  • Complete Venue information and contact names
  • Ground Transportation back to hotel.
  • Ground Transportation to Airport.
  • Flight information from your city to Chicago.

  6. 11:00am Band arrives at Hotel. David will meet you in lobby and see if your rooms are ready. If not, luggage will be stored in David's room or holding area at front desk.

    Band goes to lunch at Hotel or nearby place.

  7. 2:30pm Jazz Trio (David, Bobby and Mark meet in lobby) Mark drives trio to venue- 5 minutes away from hotel.

  8. 3:30pm-5:30pm Jazz Trio play Cocktails in separate room from Dinner/Dancing.

  9. 4:15pm Remaining Musicians (John, Alison, Kim, Paul, Ivo, Lou, Greg and Scott) meet in lobby. Dressed for wedding.

  10. 4:30pm Hotel Town car takes Greg, Paul, Scott and Ivo to Venue

  11. 4:45pm Hotel Town Car comes back and picks up John, Alison, Lou and Kim takes to venue.

  12. 5:00pm All Musicians arrive at Venue for quick sound check.

  13. 5:30pm 11-Piece Orchestra Begins

  14. 10:00pm End of Wedding

  15. 10:20pm Town Car takes band back to Hotel

  16. 10:30-45pm Band arrives back at Hotel.

Sunday September 15th, 2007:

  1. Breakfast at Hotel anytime from 8:00-12:00pm
    $7.95 Breakfast Buffet

  2. 11:00am Band meets in Lobby and check out of Hotel. Load all luggage into Mark O'Connor's car. He will be driving his car to the game. This way we can get the luggage from his car after the game and take the train directly to the Airport instead of leaving 45 minutes earlier and having to go back to the hotel, get the luggage and then go back to the airport.

  3. 11:30pm walk to nearby Metro link Train Station
    David buys all day passes for musicians.

  4. 12:07pm Band takes Metro link train (TO EMERSON PARK)

  5. 12:28pm Band Arrives at Busch Stadium

  6. 1:15pm Game Starts

  7. 4:54pm Band takes Metro link Train directly to airport.

  8. 5:26pm Band Arrives at Airport

  9. 6:50pm Flight back to Chicago (MID-WAY)

It was time for the speech by the Melissa’s Father.  I looked out and the videographer was nowhere to be found. The band played two more songs while we searched throughout the Notebart museum to find him.

 

He was eventually found him sitting on a park bench. “You don’t want to miss this! Come inside now!”  He came back to the ballroom with me.

 

Her father’s toast was announced, which turned out to be very touching with lots of wonderful stories about her growing up. She now has his toast on video.  

 

We treat each bride as if they were our little sister. We only want the best for her and her family.

Laura and Brian's Favorite movie is "UP".  I loved that movie too so I wanted to create something truly special for them. We found an original movie poster on Amazon. It was high gloss 24" x 36". Since we had it foam core mounted, all the guests were able to sign it. To make it extra special, we bought a dozen brightly colored ballons and taped them to the back of the poster. After the weding all the kids got a ballon to take home. It was a fun surpise to create!
