1. Coldplay – “A Sky Full of Stars”

Coldplay’s Chris Martin has a heavenly voice. It soars along Coldplay’s magical instrumentation to create a wonderful sound. “A Sky Full of Stars”, the biggest song from Coldplay’s sixth album, “Ghost Stories”, is also the most romantic. The song has the perfect balance between a EDM and pop: it’s fast but not too fast. The piano and acoustic driven production make for an interesting contrast with the dance beats.

I recently attended a wedding where the bride and groom walked out to “A Sky Full of Stars”, and when they did, everyone in the room had a smile on their face. “A Sky Full of Stars” is a song that won’t overpower the moment, it’ll create the right mood. Too fast of a track can sometimes set a weird mood, but this song by Coldplay is a fast track that won’t do you wrong.

2. Imagine Dragons – “On Top of the World”

“On Top of the World” is a folky track from the American rock band Imagine Dragons. It is a bit bouncier and lighter in tone than the rest of their work. The acoustic guitar, piano and whistles blend together well, creating a sound so happy it will be a crime to not smile when it’s playing.

Lead singer Dan Reynolds sings of celebration in “On Top of the World”. Weddings are a time to celebrate your love with family and friends. What better day than your wedding to feel on top of the world? If this song is playing when making an entrance, you will truly feel the highest of highs.

3. Betty Who – “Somebody Loves You”

Betty Who is an artist to keep an eye on. Her synthpop sound is both fun and catchy as hell! Her most popular song, “Somebody Loves You” is an absolute pop masterpiece. It celebrates love and has become a LGBT anthem. The undeniable warmth you feel listening to this song is similar to what you probably felt when listening to old Whitney Houston tracks.

Betty Who sings about how somebody misses you and how they want to wake up with you everyday. The pounding beat and Betty’s unique voice will have not just the bridal party dancing during the entrance, but every guest as well.

4. The Who – “Baba O’Riley”

You can’t go wrong with a classic rock jam. The opening chords in the song are some of the most iconic in rock history. Imagine it: the room goes dark, then lights start flashing. The guitar and drums start and EVERYONE FREAKS OUT (in anticipation!). Roger Daltrey’s killer voice then comes in to get everyone pumped.

If you are a couple in love with all kinds of classic rock, “Baba O’Riley” is the song you need to play for your bridal party entrance. Many critics consider The Who one of the greatest rock bands of all time, so why not play them and have one of the greatest bridal party entrances of all time?

5. Major Lazer (feat. Elliphant & Jovi Rockwell) – “Too Original”

If you are looking for something electronic and crazy, Major Lazer is the band for you. Their sound is a unique mixture of EDM, dance hall and reggae. “Too Original”, a track from their new album “Peace is the Mission”, is one hell of a banger. It features Swedish singer Elliphant and Jamaican singer Jovi Rockwell. Elliphant starts things off with a half-rap/half-sung verse about how she is the life of the party. Jovi follows her verse and sets the mood for a major bass drop.

I guarantee you, “Too Original” will immediately put everyone in a party mood as soon as it’s played. The EDM and dance hall elements refuse to let anyone remain sitting down.

6. David Bowie – “Let’s Dance”

Sadly, David Bowie passed away recently. If you are a huge Bowie fan, why not pay tribute to him by playing one of his best songs during your bridal party entrance? “Let’s Dance” is a disco-rock track that will make everyone want to dance during your entrance. The track isn’t just one that will get everyone moving, it has some pretty romantic lyrics too. Bowie sings of running away and hiding with his love because he cares so much for them. That is the type of love you should feel with your fiancé.

The thing you really want everyone to do at your wedding reception is dance and have a good time. You don’t have to tell anyone to start dancing when this song starts playing because David Bowie will do it for you. So, put on your red shoes and dance the blues.

7. One Direction – “Best Song Ever”

The boys of One Direction can really get a crowd of teenaged girls moving, but their music is not just for the youth. “Best Song Ever” is a pop-rock track from the boys’ third album, “Midnight Memories”. The song is fun, upbeat and full of energy: everything that your wedding reception should be. “Best Song Ever” is charming and the “Oh, oh, oh,” of the chorus will bring a great energy to the room. That’s what we would call starting the wedding reception off right!

Sure, you aren’t marrying a member of One Direction –*sighs*– but playing this song at the reception is the next best thing, right? Best reception ever!

8. The Notorious B.I.G. (feat. Puff Daddy and Mase) – “Mo Money Mo Problems”

A little ‘90s hip-hop never hurt anyone. “Mo Money Mo Problems” is one of the most beloved hip-hop songs from that time, by an artist who passed away too soon — The Notorious B.I.G. The fly Diana Ross sample in this song gives it the energy to get your reception off on the right note.

Let’s Mase’s opening verse gives you the energy you need when making an entrance, then let Puff Daddy be the man to welcome your party in with his verse. Finally, have The Notorious B.I.G. end the entrance right with one of the most famous verses in rap history. “Mo Money Mo Problems” is the perfect song for your bridal party entrance if your plan on playing a lot of hip-hop at your wedding reception.

9. Jess Glynne – “Ain’t Got Far To Go”

Are you looking for something a little more soulful for your bridal entrance song? UK songstress, Jess Glynne, is the singer you need. Her single, “Ain’t Got Far to Go” is a little dancey, but it has plenty of rhythm. Jess Glynne is still new on music scene, but she has already ranked in an impressive number of hits. “Ain’t Got Far to Go” is one of her best feel good songs.

In “Ain’t Got Far to Go”, Glynne sings about how long she has waited for her moment, and that it’s finally here. Your wedding is something that you’ve waited for all your life, and it’s finally here! Have this song play during your bridal party entrance to announce that after all this time and work, you’ve found the one you love.

10. The Darkness – “I Believe In A Thing Called Love”

If you’re a bit out there and quirky, “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” is the bridal party entrance song perfect for you. This 2000’s classic has been a favorite at bars for years, but it will work at weddings as well because of it’s mass appeal. The song is a gorgeous blend of hard rock and glam metal. A different sound for a wedding, but one that will make everyone have a good time.

Lead singer Justin Hawkins, has a voice that has a modern-day Freddie Mercury vibe. This song is a bit crazy, but the lyrics are quite lovely. Hawkins sings about how he can’t explain all the things his lover makes him feel and how his heart’s in overdrive. The Darkness believes in a thing called love, do you?
