A destination wedding gives you and your soon-to-be spouse the opportunity to celebrate your love in a beautiful space! However, it can be easy to miss a few details when planning the event with all the different moving parts. You’ve remembered to hire your wedding planner, picked the venue, and have all the big details accounted for. By the time you’re reading a post like this, I don’t need to tell you what to look for in Chicago wedding bands. Here are some of the smaller things you still need to think about for your destination wedding so that you can get hitched without a hitch.

Non-wedding Attire

You know you have to bring the clothes you’re getting married in, but you also have to remember to bring enough clothes to last you throughout the entire trip. If you’re having pre-wedding events, like a welcome party or a rehearsal dinner, make sure that you’ve packed appropriate outfits for each event. Remember, you’re going to have some downtime in between events as well, so don’t forget about to bring casual wear that you can relax in!

Also, don’t forget about grooming products. These are the things that we most often forget when packing for any trip. You don’t want to travel hundreds of miles away from home just to realize that you forgot to pack your toothbrush.  Make sure you and your spouse have everything you’ll need. Target has a plethora of travel-sized hair care products and makeup options to make packing easy. Harry’s is a brand that offers both razors and standard shaving products to get all of your essentials from one place. Packing a toiletry bag a week before your flight will help make sure you don’t forget any of these essentials at home. This way you’ll have everything you’ll need to have a flawless trip!

Bridal Party Gifts

Although this is not a task that is unique to a destination wedding, there’s a lot to consider when buying your wedding party gifts. The main difference is that you have to travel with these gifts, meaning that the gifts must be easy to pack and they must adhere to airline guidelines. This means you probably can’t bring perfumes or colognes, and drinking glasses might not safely make the trip.

Instead, think of items that can easily fit in your suitcase, like jewelry or customized playing cards. Or, on the simpler side, get them a subscription service to something they’ll love! That way you won’t have to worry about having to bring anything overseas. Snack boxes are always a win. Love With Food is a subscription box service that donates food to a family in need every time they ship a box! With a little research, you can find the perfect gifts for your wedding party.

Group Activities

A destination wedding is a great reason for you and your guests to take a much-needed vacation. While the ceremony is exciting, it would be nice to give your guests something else to look forward to. Look into planning group activities that everyone can participate in. Remember to put the events on your wedding website, and to give your guests plenty of heads up that there will be other activities for them to participate in if they would like to. Look into hiring an event planning service as they will be more than happy to help you come up with ideas that are appropriate for your venue, including the right Chicago wedding bands!
