We’ve all been to weddings where the bride or groom’s cousin/friend-of-a-friend does the DJing for their wedding. Sometimes it can be…passable, but it can also be a disaster! They may not take into consideration your song requests. They may play tired and old wedding music (Hokey-Pokey, Chicken Dance, etc.) They may decide your wedding is the best place to introduce your grandparents to Trap music. They may just put their iPod on shuffle and get drunk and hit on your bridal party.
In order to avoid all this potential unpleasantness, hire a live band instead to listen to Trap music! With our Chicago Wedding Band, you can make unlimited song requests from the thousands of songs already in our repertoire, and request ones we don’t already perform and we’ll learn them, just for you! We also provide a free DJ to keep the party going during band breaks. You can meet with your DJ before your event so they get a feel for you as a couple and so you can discuss what types of music you’d like the DJ to play. If you’d like to keep the party going a little longer, your DJ can stick around for an after party once the band is done playing!
We also have a separate ceremony music department to handle the music as your guests enter the ceremony venue, during the processional and recessional and for any other part of the ceremony you’d like. They play until the last guests leave the ceremony, and our Jazz Trio or Classical Duo will be set up and playing for cocktails as your guests enter. We make your day seamless and as stress-free as possible. Planning a wedding is hard work, and we do everything we can to ensure the only reason you chose waterproof mascara was to protect against tears of joy!
We also provide you with a free professional emcee. They can make all the introductions, any announcements you may have, and liaise with all of your other vendors to make sure getting hitched goes off without any! You will also meet with your emcee before your wedding so the entertainment for your big day is specifically tailored to you and your guests. You can give us a list of songs you definitely want, a list that you definitely don’t want, or just give us a general idea of the types of music you like and let us take it from there. It can be as specialized as you’d like. After all, your wedding is just that, yours, and our Chicago Wedding Band strives to make each performance one of a kind!
